It is especially frustrating with the Beta95X V2 because the camera mounts sideways. However, the software does NOT let you rotate nor re-aim the shot the way you can on the phone app. If you connect the docking adapter to the computer by USB, then you can preview the videos and export them to a standard video format. The PC/Mac software is called "Insta360 Studio 2020". Mr Shutterbug Wrote:There is one more thing I would add regarding the Insta360 GO. So the limitations are pretty significant, but it does open up some unique opportunities so I think it has its place. The onboard storage is also quite limited so people will need to copy the videos onto a phone or computer frequently. You have to charge it right before using it, which is rather frustrating. Furthermore, the battery drains when it is turned off, so you can't just charge it up and throw it in your bag. ![]() I often land to discover that it had stopped recording part way through. I can only record about 3 flights on mine before the battery dies. It's a neat little camera and you did a great job of talking about all the pros and cons, but I think you undersold just how much of a limitation the battery life can be. It actually flew really well, and the video turned out pretty sweet (on my channel). Mr Shutterbug Wrote:Thanks for another great video! I recently flew the Insta360 GO on a 3-inch 1S and was pleasantly surprised. I think Mr Shutterbug's pinned comment in JB's review below are also a deal breaker, for me at least. Maybe I will take another look if/when they release a V2. Some of the more conservative flights I do where I'm not ragging the nuts off my quad can also go on for more than 5 minutes. I therefore think my Insta360 GO will most likely just end up going back to the vendor without me even having opened the box. I think the cons mentioned in both AndyRC's and Jon E5's videos below (which I only saw after I'd already made the purchase) have now made this camera less attractive for the purposes I intended to use it for, which is a shame. Underwater related options (AquaVision, dive case stitching) were not tested with actual underwater footage, but seem to be working as well. The original reviews I saw on the Insta360 GO raved about it with virtually nothing negative to say which is why I jumped in somewhat prematurely and bought one, but I now suspect that some of those videos might have been possible shills. To skip eventual frozen popups on startup, edit file /drive_c/users//AppData/Local/Insta360/Insta360 Studio/startup.ini and add the following line to section: To load files, either navigate to the folder without using links, or simply drag and drop. In winecfg, Desktop Integration tab, remove all links to user folders (select folder and uncheck "Link to") In winecfg, Libraries tab, add concrt40.dll (native, builtin)Ģ. To be able to get past the "loading gyro data", two configuration steps are needed:ġ. Unable to load files due to concrt40.dll and user folders links. Tested with Insta360 ONE X2 footage and everything is working as intended: deep track, timeshift, flowstate stabilization, stitching, image processing, exporting, remove grain, saving and loading projects, language switching. ![]() ![]() Needs workarounds to load files, or else it will do nothing after the "loading gyro data" popup.
